What lengths do EZ-ACCESS ramps come in?

EZ-ACCESS portable ramps range from 2-10'.  Modular ramps and commercial systems can be configured to any length needed.

What ramp length is best for me?

ADA recommends 1:12 (1 foot of ramp for every 1 inch of rise).  Portable ramps should be used at a degree of incline not to exceed what is recommended by the mobility device.

What sizes do the platforms and ramps come in?

Resting platforms can range from 3'x5', 4'x5', 5'x5', 6'x6' and 5'x8'.  Our commercial platforms are generally 5'x7'.

What are your ramps made of?

All EZ-ACCESS ramps are made of aluminum which is lightweight, yet durable and will not rust or corrode.

Why are the internet dealers so much cheaper?

Often, internet dealers are able to sell at a lower price because of lower overhead costs.  The key to not losing business to them is to have ramps on display, talk to your customers about them and have them in stock so they can take them immediately.

What is the difference between the suitcase ramp and the trifold ramp?

The suitcase ramp folds in half one time and remains the overall length of the ramp when folded.  The trifold ramp folds in half and then in half the long way to make the ramp half as long and half as wide when folded.

What is the difference between the AS and non-AS?

The AS has an applied surface of a high strength traction tread.  The non-AS is the standard surface where the slip-resistant surface is extruded into the aluminum.

Why don't you sell platforms without handrails?

Safety is important to EZ-ACCESS and selling platforms without handrails is a fall waiting to happen.

Does my mod system have to go straight out or can it turn?

You can configure it to turn with a turning platform, turn back with a turn back platform, angled with a 45 degree turn platform or go straight.  You can configure to meet your needs.

Do you have steps that I can put in instead of the ramp?

EZ-ACCESS does have steps available that you can use with the ramp and in conjunction with a platform.

Do you drop ship?

EZ-ACCESS can drop ship for you.  There is a small fee charged from the freight carriers for residential delivery.

How do I stack the rubber threshold ramps with the risers?

The risers will go side by side up next to the threshold.  A threshold ramp will go in front, angling up to the risers, and an additional rubber threshold will go on top of the risers.

Are EZ-ACCESS products Medicare compliant?

Ramps and vertical platform lifts are not covered by Medicare.  Check out EZ-ACCESS' funding sources section for ideas on how to pay for your ramp.

What do you need from me to get a quote?

In order to provide a quote for an EZ-ACCESS ramp, we need the initial rise, termination point of the ramp, obstacles or space constraints, and any grade variance between the initial point and the termination point.  We will then help you determine if platforms are needed for turns or turn backs.

Why does a ramp need to be longer for a higher rise?

ADA recommends 1:12 for safety consideration.  When that is not possible, it does allow for reasonable accommodation meaning a slightly shorter ramp can be used.  EZ-ACCESS wants all ramps to be safe for you and a caregiver to use.

Why do some ramps have the black slip-resistant tread, but not others?

This is a preference point option for some people.  Both are very durable and slip-resistant.

Can I get the black slip-resistant tread on your modular system?

No, it is not available on the modular system.  Because of the design of the system, the aluminum extruded surface is much more durable for this application.
