The PATHWAY® HD Adjustable Stair System is a modular aluminum stair solution built for strength, safety, and code compliant access across temporary structures, permanent buildings, and industrial applications. Part of the PATHWAY HD Code Compliant Modular Access System, these prefabricated closed-riser stairs easily integrate with platforms and ramps to create the exact access solution your site requires.

Constructed from commercial-grade, aircraft-quality aluminum, the system offers permanent-level durability with modular flexibility. Field-adjustable for precise height requirements, the PATHWAY HD adjustable stair installs quickly and offers safe, dependable access in virtually any environment.

All walking surfaces on the PATHWAY HD feature Gecko Grip®, our patented, raised-rib tread featuring a 2-tier, 3-point gripping surface. The innovative design utilizes deep knurling, which provides enhanced cross-directional traction when entering and exiting the system.

Our welded, extruded tread provides reinforced strength and a permanent slip-resistant surface.

Is bracing needed?

Bracing is needed on ramps, platforms, and steps with rises of 36” and above. Additional bracing is needed at 72” and above.

Does my modular ramp system have to go straight out or can it turn?

You can configure the system to be a straight run or it can turn left or right by simply using a turn platform. The ramp system can also incorporate a switchback by using a turn back platform. Need the ramp to extend at an angle? Ask us about a custom angle platform! The system can be configured to meet your exact needs.

Do you offer other surface options such as Grip Grate?

We do offer custom surface options such as Grip Grate and Bar Grate on our platforms and stairs. We also have heavier-duty tread options for ramps.

What kind of tread is used on this system?

Ramps, platforms, and stairs feature our patented Gecko Grip® tread. This specialized raised-rib tread has a 2-tier, 3-point gripping surface. The innovative design utilizes deep knurling, which provides enhanced cross-directional traction when entering and exiting the system.

What sizes do the platforms and ramps come in?

Our standard commercial platforms come in the following sizes: 5'x5', 5'x6', 5'x7', 6'x6'. Ramps are 48” & 54” wide and come in lengths of 2’-6’. Custom sizes are available upon request.

Do you offer Professional Engineer stamped drawings?

Yes, we do offer this service for a fee.

Can several platforms be connected together?

Yes, platforms can be connected together to create any sized deck or elevated work area.

Do you have stairs that I can put in instead of a ramp?

Yes, our stairs can not only be incorporated into a ramp system, but they can also be used in conjunction with our platforms or an existing platform or deck. Our stairs can even be stacked to create a longer run.

What do I use for ice and snow removal on ramps, platforms, and steps?

We suggest using a Magnesium Chloride salt substitute. Check out a blog we wrote on this!

Why don't you sell platforms without handrails?

Safety is important to us and selling platforms with handrails is our standard.

Do your stairs have open or closed risers?

Our PATHWAY HD stairs have closed risers; our FORTRESS® OSHA Stair System has open risers.

Are the ramps, platforms, and stairs adjustable?

Yes, our independently adjustable legs provide a range of height adjustability. This is especially convenient when installing the system on uneven terrain.
