Are these stairs compatible with PATHWAY® HD ramps and platforms?

Yes, our stairs can not only be attached to an existing platform or deck, but they can also be connected to our PATHWAY HD platforms and incorporated into a PATHWAY HD ramp system (with custom components).

What sizes do the stairs come in?

8 standard, off-the-shelf models are available to accommodate heights ranging from 12”-67”. Each model has 6” of height adjustability. Stairs also come in a standard width of 56”. Custom sizes are available; request a quote from our team.

Are the stairs adjustable?

Yes, our independently adjustable legs provide a range of height adjustability. This is especially convenient when installing the stair on uneven terrain. 6” of adjustability is available on the front legs, providing a range of heights each stair model accommodates.

Do the stairs have open or closed risers?

Our PATHWAY HD stairs feature closed risers to meet ADA and IBC guidelines. If you are looking for an open-riser, OSHA-compliant stair, check out our FORTRESS® OSHA Stair System.

What kind of tread is used on the stairs?

Our patented Gecko Grip® tread. This specialized raised-rib tread has a 2-tier, 3-point gripping surface. The innovative design also utilizes deep knurling, which provides enhanced cross-directional traction.

What should I use for ice and snow removal?

We suggest using a Magnesium Chloride salt substitute, along with a broom and plastic snow shovel for clearing debris.

Do you offer Professional Engineer stamped drawings?

Yes, we do offer this service for a fee.

How is the stair system installed?

Installation is typically done using basic tools and mechanical fasteners. Components arrive pre-engineered and ready for assembly, which helps reduce installation time compared to welded or fully custom stairs. Installation instructions are included with the product via QR code and are available on the “Documents” tab.

Does the system require welding on site?

No. The stair system is designed for bolted assembly. This eliminates the need for on-site welding, hot work permits, and specialized labor.

Can I connect multiple platforms at the top of the stair system?

Yes, multiple platforms can be connected together to create the top landing size and layout that you need.

Does the stair system have to be against a building or can it face the building straight on?

The stair system can accommodate either orientation.

Is bracing needed?

Bracing is needed on stairs set at 36” and above.

Are custom options available?

Yes, we have customization options available if our standard, off-the-shelf sizes and configurations aren’t suitable to your site. Contact our team for details.
