FAQs

Does this product require assembly?

Yes, the sections hook together and are secured in place by provided screws.

Does the ramp butt up to the opening or is there a lip that sits on top of the door track?

The ramp can do either or. There is a top pivoting flap that provides an additional .25” of adjustability and can be slid in or kept out. If in, the ramp would be set against the door threshold and the flap would rest on top of it. If the flap is kept out, the ramp would butt up against the door threshold and wouldn’t interfere with door styles such as a sliding glass door with a track.

My door threshold is 3.5" high. Should I order a 3" or 4" ramp?

Because this is in between sizes, consider purchasing a TRANSITIONS® Angled Entry Ramp, which is also made of aluminum and has adjustable feet to meet your threshold rise requirements.

How do I keep the ramp from moving around?

Pre-drilled holes are available for anchoring at the bottom of the ramp and in the top pivoting flap. Hardware is provided for anchoring to wood or aluminum surfaces.
